Salome Mekvabishvili is a public policy and development professional with experience across government and international development. She works in a policy and analytical role supporting high-level public–private dialogue and reform initiatives aimed at strengthening Georgia’s business and investment environment. In parallel, she contributes to national industrial development programming, supporting the design and implementation of initiatives focused on inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Her work spans policy and programme roles within the multilateral development landscape, including engagement with institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
Previously, Salome served as Head of the Strategic Development Department at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, where she led the development of key national and sectoral strategies and played a central role in shaping and advancing the country’s economic policy and reform agenda.
Salome holds an MSc in Public Policy and Management from King’s College London, where she studied as a Chevening Scholar.
