Michelle Nedashkovskaya is currently a Policy Lead at YouTube. She previously served as YouTube’s specialist for Russian-speaking markets up until spring 2022, bringing regional geopolitical expertise to global content policy.
Before pivoting into tech, Michelle began her career in US federal government, where she maintained a focus on post-Soviet geopolitics. In her last post, she served as an adviser to the US Board Director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the US Treasury. Previous to that, she served as an adviser at the US Mission to the United Nations and at the US Mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
Outside her full-time work, Michelle spent years pursuing research on disinformation and Russian influence operations with the Empirical Studies of Conflict project and the Liechtenstein Institute at Princeton University.
Michelle earned her MPA and BA degrees from Princeton University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
