Maisoon H. Kafafy operates at the nexus of geopolitics, technology, and security. She is a geopolitical consultant at The Cohen Group – advising clients in the
technology, financial, defense, and legal sectors on navigating geopolitical challenges and building strategic relationships across the Middle East, North Africa, and North America. She also serves as a non-resident Research Fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center.

Previously, Maisoon worked within Egypt’s international cooperation ecosystem, partnering with the World Bank Group and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to advance development initiatives through loans, grants, and technical assistance. She also consulted on public affairs and strategic communications in Cairo.

Maisoon holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she focused on International and Global Affairs and was awarded the Public Service Fellowship. She earned a dual B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from the American University in Cairo.
