Josh Ingersoll is a policy and technology leader at Amazon’s Project Kuiper, where he focuses on optical inter-satellite links (OISL) and international regulatory strategy to expand global broadband connectivity. He also represents Amazon in global spectrum and standards discussions with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and partner governments, helping shape frameworks for responsible constellation growth and space sustainability.
Outside of Amazon, Josh serves as Executive Director of the Matthew Isakowitz Commercial Space Scholarship Program, which places top university students into the commercial space workforce and connects them with lifelong mentorship. His work with MCSS bridges academia, government, and industry to cultivate a more inclusive and globally connected space ecosystem.
Josh holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology as well as an M.A. in Space Policy and an MBA from The George Washington University. His career centers on building bridges—between engineering and policy, orbit and Earth, and the next generation of leaders driving humanity’s future in space.
