Jeremiah Sekyi Global 2026

Jeremiah Sekyi is public speaking and communications specialist with five years of experience in policy and consulting. At the age of 19, Jeremiah became the first African to win the public speaking world championship at the World Universities Debate Championship, 2019. Leveraging this, Jeremiah went on to train hundreds of students across Africa, earning him the McKinsey Black Talent Award the year after.
During the pandemic, Jeremiah worked on the AMIPS Project, a collaboration between the University of Ghana, the University of Leeds and the Ghana Health Service, to address medicine prices in Ghana. Jeremiah’s work in this project in facilitating stakeholder meetings and drafting policy proposals resulted in the passing of a bill to reduce medicine prices. Jeremiah continued his advocacy as an IMF Youth Fellow, where he focused on inequality and sustainability.
Jeremiah’s primary work, however, has been in the area of communication. After spending a year as a Schwarzman Scholar, Jeremiah joined Debate Mate Limited, where he advised executives at Microsoft, PwD, Deloitte and several Fortune 500 companies on matters of communication and public relations. In this time, he facilitated public dialogues for PwC London and Gulf Co-operation Club Flagship Conference, 2024, in Dubai.
Currently, Jeremiah runs The Speech Factory, an organization focused on democratizing executive communication training and rebuilding the broken public town square. With the rapid emergence and pervasion of AI, Jeremiah is focused on developing programs that empower young professionals and companies to double down on their human skills and articulate their value effectively, while promoting civil discourse for all.
