Jane Darby Menton is a Research Scholar at the UC Berkeley Risk & Security Lab. She recently completed a PhD in Politics and International Studies at Cambridge. Her research interests include nuclear weapons, arms control, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.

During her PhD, she helped produce Talking Politics and the spinoff series History of Ideas, popular podcast partnerships with the London Review of Books. Before Cambridge, Jane Darby worked as a journalist at Foreign Affairs and Anderson Cooper 360.

Jane Darby is a Gates Cambridge Scholar. She has an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and a BA in History and Global Affairs from Yale.
