Hsiao-Yi Joy Lin-Landron Asia 2024

Hsiao-Yi (Joy) Lin-Landron is a practitioner of second-track diplomacy of Taiwan throughout her career. Her latest function in this field was serving as director of international collaboration at Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF), a Taipei-based think tank advocating Taiwan’s external relations throughout people-centered action programs, such as youth development and civil society. Joy was the project lead of the program on regional resilience focusing on regional cooperation of natural disaster prevention and mitigation. Prior to TAEF, Joy was project manager at the Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific (CSCAP) Taiwan.
In addition to Asia, Joy has her second cultural identity connected with Europe thanks to her French background. She was an education promotion officer at the French Office in Taipei and a secretary at the European Economic and Trade Office.
After 10+ years of career in international affairs for non-profit organizations, Joy is now starting a new journey in private sector by joining ProLogium Technology in France, an energy innovation company from Taiwan, providing next-generation battery solutions for electric vehicles. With such a shift , Joy is developing her curiosity on how a special country like Taiwan could work with the world to combat climate change via technology and global talents.

Joy holds a Master’s degree in international relations from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), France. She focuses on policies related to sustainable development and international education.
