Evelyn Dan Epelle Global 2025

Evelyn Dan Epelle, FMNES, is a multimedia journalist and development communications professional dedicated to using ‘Communication as Strategy’ to strengthen African governance and public policy frameworks. Her interdisciplinary skills and cross-cultural background span from her birthplace in Lagos, Nigeria, to Koforidua, Ghana, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) from All Nations University, and further to Washington, DC, in the United States of America (USA) where she completed a Master’s degree in Communications, Culture, and Technology (CCT) at Georgetown University. Her emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and success in overcoming the challenges of teenage pregnancy and striving for academic excellence are central to her story and drive.

Evelyn has been recognized as a Youth Fellow at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), a Media Fellow at the African Diaspora Investment Symposium (ADIS) in Silicon Valley, and as a Distinguished Alumna of the School of Politics, Policy, and Governance (SPPG). She is a member of the Harvard Business Review (HBR) Advisory Council. In 2024, she received the President’s Special Service Award from the Nigerian Economic Society (NES) for her contributions to the society. Her work translating economic concepts from technical to accessible formats for public understanding helps advance development communications programming in Nigeria.

Evelyn has worked as a foreign correspondent for KAFTAN TV in the U.S., covering US-Africa policy priorities and politics. At Baobab Consulting LLC, she served as Catalyst and Public Affairs Manager before joining the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA) as a Communications Fellow. Currently, she provides strategic leadership as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) at the Institute for Governance and Economic Transformation (IGET), where she channels her commitment to infrastructure governance, research, policy communication, and media advocacy to amplify Africa’s social impact on the global stage.
