Euma Ishii is a physician-scientist and health-technology executive who builds resilient, cross-border health data and AI systems. He has worked across the public, private, academic, and nonprofit sectors: at Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare during COVID-19, he helped design reporting pipelines that reduced errors and supported credible multilingual updates; in the private sector, he implemented telemedicine in Ghana and co-developed an AI-enabled maternal-health app in rural Japan; academically, he holds an MD–PhD and trained at MIT’s Laboratory for Computational Physiology; and in the nonprofit space, he co-founded LIAISON, which supports the Diet Task Force on Polio Eradication, the Institut Pasteur Japan Office, and U.S.–Japan health-tech partnerships with ACCJ/SelectUSA. He also worked on health-record digitization in Micronesia as a Quad Fellow at Johns Hopkins. He now serves as Executive Director at Seoritsu Group, where he helps design and implement next-generation sovereign-led healthcare systems and infrastructure.
