Elena Souris was a speechwriter for the former U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and she served as a member of the State Department’s Policy Planning Staff.

Before joining State, Elena was a policy analyst at New America and a 2019 McCloy Fellow on Global Trends with the American Council on Germany. She researched German and European politics, U.S. domestic policy, civic engagement, and national security, and her writing appeared in outlets like the Washington Post and Foreign Policy.

Elena graduated from Trinity University with a degree in political science and communication.
