Danielle Neighbour is a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State. She currently serves as a Peace and Security Officer at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Previous roles at the State Department include serving as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of State and on the Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, and China desks. Previously, she researched wastewater policy in the United States and China as a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center’s China Environment Forum. She holds a Master’s of Global Affairs from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and Spanish minor from the University of Arkansas. She is a Truman Scholar, Schwarzman Scholar, and began her government career as a Presidential Management Fellow. She grew up in Lenexa, Kansas.
