Dr. Christine Sheldon is a Research Fellow in Computational Social Science at the University of Birmingham (UK). As a member of the Centre for AI in Government, her research centres on the intersection of generative AI and governance. This includes projects on AI mediated communication between citizens and elected representatives, as well as exploring the potential for digital governance twins of our political institutions. Prior to this position, she completed an MPhil and PhD degree in politics at the University of Oxford, where her research explored the application of machine learning to deduce patterns in political negotiations.
