Annes is a Senior Advisor at the UK Cabinet Office. She has worked at the heart of the UK civil service for nearly a decade.

Annes’ interests and particular expertise include the geopolitical competition over the energy transition, the evolving nature of power and influence, and the impact of technological innovation on global security and the international order.

Originally from Wales, Annes is now settled in London. She holds an MA in global politics from Aberystwyth University and a BA in International Relations from Swansea University. She recently graduated from the UK Civil Service’s Future Leaders Scheme, with a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Development.
