Anna Mortara is an economist and public administrator with a career focused on effective policy making and sustainable development. Currently at Systemiq, she leads strategic projects with the public sector.
More recently, she led the support for the Brazil’s Ministry of Finance in defining its decarbonization growth objectives and priorities. She co-developed the “”Tipping points for the Ecological Transformation”” (2024) and the “”Pathways for Brazil’s Ecological Transformation Plan”” (2023), both thanks to the mobilization of over 250 organizations across public, private, and social sectors.
Anna has held roles at the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, where she specialized in policy analysis and public-private dialogue.
Her earlier experiences include coordinating planning and evaluation teams in São Paulo’s municipal government and launching Brazil’s first free online impact evaluation course for policymakers during her tenure at J-PAL. With public and private experiences, Anna combines rigorous analytical skills with practical leadership to address global challenges through innovative and inclusive solutions.
