Grace Park Global 2025

Grace Park currently serves as the Policy Lead for Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Office of the Chief Digital & AI Officer (CDAO).

Prior to CDAO, Grace served as an AI policy advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD Policy), Office of Force Development and Emerging Capabilities, through the Horizon Institute for Public Service Fellowship. During their tenure at OSD Policy, Grace led DoD’s implementation of the AI Executive Order and advanced international AI governance through partnerships like the Political Declaration on Responsible Military Use of AI and Autonomy, and the Australia, United Kingdom, and United States (AUKUS) defense and strategic partnership.

Grace began their career in the U.S. Army, serving overseas tours in Djibouti, Tunisia, Italy, and the Republic of Korea. In 2018, they were appointed as the first female communications officer for the 1-187 Infantry Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division. They have previously held visiting fellowships at the SNF Agora Institute at John’s Hopkins University and the Center for a New American Security.

Grace holds degrees from Wellesley College and Harvard Kennedy School, where they were a Graham T. Allison Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and a Black Family Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership.
