David Hoyt is the Assistant Director of Stanford University’s Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation where he organizes education and training to connect the tools and talent of Silicon Valley to the Department of Defense, the US Government, and its allies and partners.
David recently completed his JD/MBA at Stanford and passed the California Bar in 2020. Before graduate school, David worked for GEN Stan McChrystal’s (Ret.) consulting firm—McChrystal Group—and tech startup CrossLead. Additionally, David has worked in a variety of sectors ranging from venture capital, automotive economics, and cybersecurity law to government internships in the White House, Department of State, and Department of Commerce.
For his undergraduate, David completed his A.A. at Mercer County Community College in New Jersey before transferring to Stanford to complete a B.A. in International Relations with Honors in International Security Studies with a focus on U.S.-China relations.
