Jennifer Aberle wears two hats. With one of them she serves as policy assistant to the European Commission’s Special Envoy for the EU-Canada partnership, providing strategic advice and assisting him in the execution of his mandate.
With the other hat, Jennifer Aberle works as a policy officer and briefing coordinator in the Secretariat-General of the European Commission on external economic policies. In this position, she advises the Cabinet of the Commission President on EU-Canada relations, coordinates the Commission’s approach to research security and prepares inter alia the briefings for the Commission President’s meetings with international leaders.
Previously, she worked in the European Commission on the external dimension of research and innovation policy, advised Commission services on international negotiations and relations with ASEAN and the Gulf region. She holds a master’s degree in Global Studies and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Communication Studies.
