Jasper is the Senior Research Associate for former Assistant Secretary of Defense and Douglas Dillon Professor of Government Graham Allison. He leads a research team at the Harvard Belfer Center’s Avoiding Great Power War Project and conducts work on US-China diplomacy, trade policy, and military strategy. He has also worked as a public affairs advisor on projects for technology companies and US government agencies. Prior to joining the Belfer Center, Jasper spent a year in China as a Schwarzman Scholar where he studied Mandarin and earned an M.A. in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University. He graduated from Yale University cum laude with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics, where he was also a member of the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy. Jasper is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
