Trisha Ray is an associate director and resident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center. With eight years of experience leading cross-border AI and tech policy research, her current focus is on scaling AI safely and responsibly across jurisdictions, as well as trends in “sovereign AI” especially in the Indo-Pacific.
Prior to this, Trisha was deputy director and fellow at the Center for Security, Strategy and Technology at the Observer Research Foundation, leading work on India’s technology policies and partnerships. She has provided commentary for media outlets such as Wired. The Guardian, BBC, CNN-IBN, Nikkei Asia, the Financial Times, and the Economist, among others. Trisha completed her MA in security studies from Georgetown University and a BA (honors) in journalism from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.
