Sara Benkirane Africa 2024

Sara Benkirane is a Moroccan architect and urban planner who has been working in the field of public territorial development for six years. She currently heads the “Regional Strategic Planning Contribution Service” at the Casablanca-Settat Regional Investment Center. She helps shape development strategies and converts them into investment opportunities while addressing planning challenges to promote sustainable economic growth. Sara was previously in charge of the Architecture and Urban Framework Service at the Settat Urban Agency, where she participated in the establishment of regulatory urban plans that enhanced living environments and cityscapes. Sara holds a Master of Architecture from the National School of Architecture in Rabat and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Development from Sorbonne University in Paris. She is pursuing a doctorate at Sorbonne University, focusing her research on the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on metropolitan areas’ attractiveness.
