Ivanna Kuz is a Defense Policy Analyst on the Ukraine Team in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy at the US Department of Defense. Prior to joining the Pentagon, Ivanna worked on transatlantic defense and security issues at the Center for European Policy Analysis and on Ukraine’s democratic reform efforts at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems Ukraine. She also worked at NATO Headquarters in Brussels and for Democratic Leader Charles E. Schumer in the U.S. Senate. Ivanna earned her M.A. in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia from Harvard University and her B.A. in international studies, political science, and public policy from the Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York (CUNY).
