Berta Jarosova serves as Cyber Attachée to the United States and Canada at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington DC. In her capacity, she is responsible for cooperation with federal government, private sector and research institutions in the field of cybersecurity. In the past, she has served as Policy Advisor on Hybrid Threats to the Deputy Minister of Defense for Policy and Strategy and as Advisor to the Cyber Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During her time at the National Cyber and Information Security Agency, Berta was also part of the negotiation team of the memorandum on 5G security between the Czech Republic and the United States and helped draft the outcome of the Prague 5G Security Conference where the Prague Proposals on 5G Security were adopted in 2018. She has also led research and education projects focused on technology and national security at Prague Security Studies Institute. She earned degrees in International Law and Political Science from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris and Leiden University in the Netherlands.
