Alice Dawkins is Executive Director at Reset.Tech Australia, a research and policy organisation providing independent oversight of social media and other big-data companies. Reset uses cutting-edge methodologies to scrutinise how well platforms follow their own rules, and where legislation is in force, assess compliance. Alice’s work on civil society technology initiatives stems from two key learning experiences in particular: as the inaugural employee of the Frontier Technology programme at Minderoo Foundation, one of Asia’s largest philanthropies, and, as an Australian Government-funded researcher working in Myanmar on access to justice and pro-democracy initiative in the 2010s.
