Nare Hakobyan is the Strategic Partnerships Lead at SocialLab, an organization leveraging expertise in social science, technology, and artificial intelligence to craft transformative solutions for global challenges. A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, she previously served as the International Partnerships Officer at Safe YOU, an Armenia-founded, globally-franchised smartphone app supporting women against gender-based violence.

Having lived, studied, and worked across the UAE, Russia, France, the US, Spain, and the UK before repatriating to Armenia, Nare offers a unique blend of global insight and deep-rooted cultural understanding.

She is an alumna of the Democracy Tech Fellowship with the Alliance of Democracies Foundation and serves as a Board Member of Sunrise Stepanakert, a festival dedicated to exploring art as a tool for post-war recovery and healing.

Nare holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Development Studies from SOAS, University of London, where she served as Women’s Officer and Trustee. Her time at SOAS was instrumental in shaping her commitment to gender equality and sustainable development, grounded in a non-Western, intersectional perspective.
