Melisa Trad Malmod Global 2025

Melisa Trad Malmod is an Argentine journalist working at the intersection of gender, peace, and security. As a foreign correspondent, she has covered stories from over 50 countries across six continents, many of which are still affected by conflict.

Her work in the civil society sector for over a decade has complemented her journalism. She co-founded and directed the regional office of the Youth Argentinean Organization for the United Nations (OAJNU) and later became Women First Digital´s representative in South America, an international NGO devoted to making sexual and reproductive health universally accessible.

Melisa holds an International Master’s in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies from the University of Glasgow, Dublin City University, and Charles University and a licentiate degree in Social Communication from the National University of San Juan.
