Hee Yoon graduated with a master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University (SNU) in 2017. Following her graduation, she worked as a researcher at the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) for about two years. In 2019 and 2020, she served as a lecturer, teaching fluid mechanics and thermodynamics at Woosong University and Ewha Womans University in Korea. In 2021, she began her doctoral studies at the University of Tokyo in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and completed her degree in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on numerical simulations for drag reduction in low Reynolds number hypersonic vehicles. In 2024, she was appointed as a global fellow with the Korea Foundation, the public diplomacy arm of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is currently conducting experimental and computational research on turbulent transition phenomena in hypersonic inlet designs at TU Braunschweig in Germany.
