Anu Anwar Asia 2024

Anu Anwar is a fellow at the Harvard Asia Center and a non-resident associate at the John K. Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University. Before joining Harvard, Anwar worked as a research fellow at the U.S. Department of Defense’s institute—Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies. He was also an affiliate scholar at East-West Center, visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo and Kobe Gakuin University, Japan. His works has appeared in Foreign Policy, Council on Foreign Relations, War on the Rocks, East Asia Forum, The Diplomat, South China Morning Post, United States Institute of Peace, Harvard Kennedy School Review, Lowy’s Interpreter, Pacific Forum, and Asia Times among other publications. Anwar received MPP jointly from Tsinghua University and the University of Geneva, MPA and BSS from the University of Dhaka, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in international relations at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He speaks Chinese, Hindi, and Bengali.
